This workshop assumes you have a GitHub account and either:
installed on your computer.
Git is a version control system that lets you track who made changes to what when and has options for easily updating a shared or public version of your code on GitHub (i.e. github.com). To work on GitHub You will need a supported web browser (current versions of Chrome, Firefox or Safari, or Internet Explorer version 9 or above).
GitKraken is a powerful and elegant multiplatform graphical interface for Git developed as an alternative to working with Git from the command line.
RStudio is a powerful development environment for writing R code and has an excellent integration with GitHub which we’ll be using to demonstrate contributing to open source projects.
